Boys varsity basketball beat Santa Clara 65-55. The coyotes started off the game very slow going down big to the away team. They had a lot of trouble rebounding and gave them continuous second chance points. They gained some momentum with Jayden Barnes scoring and getting a steal leading to a foul. After that the game became back and forth with Jayden Hayden and Jayden Barnes being the leading scorers going into the half.
Buena Park came out the half with one of their players getting an awful injury. A Santa Clara player ended up elbowing Jackson Valbuena around his chest area and that got the coyotes fired up. From there they came out with a mission and went on a big run and gave the away team pressure and the leading scores Jayden Hayden 19 points and Jayden Barnes 23 points.
