Player Catching Football.

The football game on Friday, 10/20/23 was a close game between Buena Park and Sunny Hills. It was senior night and the theme of this game was a blackout theme, tons of students participated in this theme. This article will include before and after interviews, and stats about this very close game.

We started by interviewing player #10, Aaron Rodriguez. He was feeling great about the game and believed his opponents were not formidable. The next player interviewed was #3, Jeron Johnson Jr. When asked about how he thought the game would go, he believed it would be a good game, a close game in the first half.

The third player interviewed was #54, Danny Washington. He told us “If we execute everything how we’re supposed to, it’ll be a great game”. He thought his opponents were “pretty good for what they do”. Lastly, we interviewed Coach Chris. Being asked how he thought the game would go, he claimed it would be a tough game, but that they would come out with a victory in the end.

The first and second quarter was a midway battle between both teams. None of the teams made any points during these quarters. Anthony Irons clutched with a touchdown toward the end of 3rd quarter along with a field goal by Angel Iribe leading the score to 7-0. Then, near the beginning of the 4th quarter, Sunny Hills made a touchdown and a field goal as well. At this time both teams were tied 7-7. The last few seconds were intense, as Sunny Hills had made yet another touchdown, but just in time before the game ended, Buena Park made a touchdown and a field goal, leaving the score at 14-13, with our school winning our first league game since 2016. “Thats how a true coyote does it.” says Anthony Blancas.
