He recommends this to sixth-graders and incoming freshmen.
We decided to give our personal favorite book list after all the interviews. There are three writers in total for this article.
Starting off with Emily Gonzalez. Personally, I don’t read very often, but I enjoyed reading Where He Can’t Find You by Darcy Coates. This thrilling story is about a teen girl, Abby, who lives with her friends in a place where people disappear if they go out alone in the dark. The town has to follow rules so they are not taken by ‘the stitcher.’ Abby’s sister gets taken by the stitcher, so Abby and her friends have to try and find her before it is too late. I rate this book nine out of ten and would recommend it to people who enjoy reading scary books.
Next, Jared Garcia. I don’t read much literature unless I know the story will interest me. I would say I read about one book every 2 months. Personally, I really like The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It has become one of my favorite books of all time. It is about a lonely rich man named Gatsby who throws extravagant parties to entice someone whom he admires to show up. Gatsby and his friend, Nick, encounter many different people and situations in their rich neighborhood. I would rate this book a nine out of ten since it starts off a little slow. But soon after the slow start, it picks up by introducing many different affairs. I would recommend this book to people who like drama and romance.
Last, Noelia Velazquez, I enjoy reading any genre of books. I read every other day because I enjoy reading how authors perceive certain issues and the length of their imagination. My favorite book is ´My Year of Rest and Relaxation´by Ottessa Moshfegh, this book is about a female main character who has not reveled her name, The timeline is set in New York City in the year 2000-2001, she explains that she went to Columbia University, she is struggling with her personal experiences and the world’s social expectation. She often finds herself hating life, so she gets medication from her doctor, and she takes several sleeping pills and finds that she has placed orders and made phone calls while she was sleeping. Personally, I would rate this book an 8.5 out of 10, because of the selfishness and rudeness of the narrator. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes psychological fiction and urban fiction.
