Everyone knows what AI is by now, especially teachers. Many teachers can’t stand AI because of how much work is done by using artificial intelligence. For example, teens are now figuring out ways to get all their homework/classwork answers using AI. It’s as easy as asking AI questions or even taking a picture of the work and letting AI do it all for them. You can even go as far as asking AI to write a whole essay for you. Teachers have now found ways to track AI work by some AI trackers. If it is detected that the student can be in huge trouble for using artificial intelligence rather than doing their work
A lot of students have now lost the motivation to learn and work hard on classwork because they know AI can easily give them all the answers. Humans are now losing human creativity, social skills, and critical thinking. I feel that in a couple of years, kids will be less educated because there are so many electronics in the world. AI can be bad because AI can collect data, personal data, and sensitive data. This could lead to cyber attacks, making it harder to protect your privacy.
A lot of people are losing their jobs due to artificial intelligence, especially graphic designers. People can easily ask the most famous AI app,“ Chat GPT,” to generate any type of image they want by telling it what they want it and it generates it in minutes. AI helps give what people want in seconds, and a lot of people are loving it. In the article “Is AI closing the door on talent…” April 30, 2025, they explain that “The Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025 reveals that 40% of employers expect to reduce their workforce where AI can automate tasks.” This means people will lose the chance of making money and providing for their families. Since they say AI will be able to take these jobs, this means simple jobs will be taken by AI, and companies won’t need to hire many people, so this will lead to more money for them. The same article, “How AI is reshaping the career ladder, and other trends in jobs and skills on Labour Day” April 30, 2025, also says Rather than eliminating entry-level opportunities, companies could harness AI to train the next generation of senior professionals. “From law firms saying goodbye to the billable hour to more emphasis on apprenticeships, traditional structures could be redefined. As Gen AI becomes further embedded in the workplace, companies will need to invest in substantial upskilling efforts to prepare their employees for the AI-driven economy.” This could be a good thing; higher technology can help the workers learn new skills. This can also help solve things that we humans couldn’t figure out before. There are some positives with artificial intelligence. In the article “AI—The good, the bad, and the scary,” Eugenia Rho states, “AI and robotics can open doors for people living with physical disabilities. We’ve seen the promise of assistive robot arms and mobile wheelchairs helping elderly adults regain independence, autonomous vehicles increase mobility, and rehabilitation robots help children gain the ability to walk”. This is a good thing because AI and robots can help handicapped people; they might even train them to be caretakers for them one day. This can help people with disabilities with their confidence, knowing someone is there in public to help them around.
These AI robots can help people with disabilities stay on track with their medicine or give them a routine to do throughout the day.
Let’s talk about the history of AI officially beginning with the Dartmouth summer research project on Artificial Intelligence in 1956. John McCarthy, the “father of AI,” came up with the term “artificial intelligence”. Throughout the years, AI has been improving and getting better. Learning new ways to help humans, like enhancing accuracy, decision-making, and creating new job opportunities. A lot of people are going overboard with AI and trying to create real humans and human body parts in the article “What is the history of artificial intelligence (AI) They explain that, “So Much so that scientists of all sorts started asking the question: is it possible to create an artificial brain? Some creators even made some versions of what we now call “robots” (and the word was coined in a Czech play in 1921), though most of them were relatively simple. These were steam-powered for the most part, and some could make facial expressions and even walk”. I don’t agree with this because this is where people start to abuse Artificial intelligence; we don’t need artificial intelligence to take over the world.
Artificial intelligence is already taking over a lot of things we humans do, so taking away human reproduction and human creativity is what I call abuse. The world will turn out badly if the whole world revolves around or is controlled by AI or robots.
Overall, using artificial intelligence can be helpful for many aspects of life, like helping disabled people, enhancing health care, and answering questions we humans have. I believe humans need to be more responsible with this powerful technology and not abuse it. Artificial intelligence can be a good thing for this world if used correctly.
