The Buena Park Coyotes are having a great season so far, their record right now is 12-8, and in the league, their record is 4-1, 2nd in the Golden West League. This record has been one of the best records and team Buena Park softball has seen so far. This team is something special and is changing the culture for our school.
On April 16th, 2025, we had the pleasure to cover our Buena Park softball team. They faced Katella High School and won 0-6. There was no luck for the opposing team. On the team is Mia Gonzalez, one of the top pitchers in California. She leads this team and is a huge help. For baserunning, Mia Gonzales had 1 base run, and Layla Hinojos also had 1. Layla also had 14 POs, Leanne Overly having 4. This team works hard together to win. The Buena Coyotes took the win at home, and they now have a record of 11-8, with more wins to come. They will now travel to Laguna Hills for a Golden West outing on Friday, April 25th, in hopes of a win. Katella’s season record has now lowered after the loss to 9-10.
