January 26 2025 was the opening of the Fjuhsd Art Show. It took place at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, California. At this art show, hundreds of students from different schools in the Fullerton joint district showcased their art for judges and the public. This venue where the student’s art was showcased, has also been home to other pieces from artists such as Picasso, and Van Gogh. At this event, many different mediums of art were showcased such as mixed media, photography, collaging, watercolor, and more. Many people came to watch and cheer the students on! It lasted from January 26 to January 29. There are multiple awards; still to be announced. The results are not expected to be known until at least the 5th of February. This is an amazing opportunity for the students of Buena Park because this allows and gives students the opportunity to showcase their achievements and show off their creativity. Many students who competed in this year’s art show didn’t even realize they had a passion for art until they tried it out, this show opened many young people’s eyes and made them more open to trying new things. The next art show is in February 2025 and for this art show students will need 5 art pieces of any media to present, the winner earns a medal, art supplies, and a prize. Every Fjuhsd art show is free admission so anyone can walk into the museum and enjoy students’ art!
