On October 21st, the vibrant campus of Buena Park High School was graced by the presence of Hope International University (HIU).
The university representatives passionately shared insights about the diverse range of opportunities available at HIU, including their distinctive programs, thriving athletic departments, and generous scholarship offerings. HIU stands as a beacon of educational excellence, boasting five esteemed colleges: the Pacific Christian College of Ministry & Biblical Studies, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Psychology and Counseling, the College of Education, and the College of Business and Management. With a rich history from 1928, HIU has been dedicated to nurturing students with a Christian-centered education, empowering them to positively influence the world for Christ. Diving into the realm of sports, Hope International University embraces a diverse array of athletic endeavors. Excitingly, a new addition to their athletic program is the sport of Wrestling, extending an invitation to students eager to partake in this thrilling discipline. HIU proudly competes in 21 intercollegiate varsity sports, offering an extensive platform for both men and women. The men’s sports lineup encompasses baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, track & field (indoor and outdoor), and volleyball.
Meanwhile, the women’s sports division features basketball, beach volleyball, competitive dance, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, stunt, tennis, track & field (indoor and outdoor), and volleyball. Furthermore, the university upholds a commendable average GPA of 3.35, signifying a moderately competitive environment for aspiring scholars. Notably, with a GPA of 3.35, Hope International University warmly welcomes students with varying academic backgrounds. Since 1928, HIU has empowered students through Christian education to impact the world for Christ.
