This Week JV Volleyball Girls went against Godinez High School. Both Buena Park and Godinez High School had very loud supporters. They started off the first round with some struggling strikes but as the players warmed up there were multiple hits causing Buena Park High School to catch up and make a comeback. The girls have great formations and are very organized in the way they play, not to mention they have amazing communication towards each other. When Buena Park scored three points in a row with the server number three, the crowd went wild along with chants that varsity has specifically for those hits.
Although they had some struggles they got back up and worked it out. When the ball went out of the court or was missed the girls supported each other and gave each other positive words to keep going. Positivity gives the girls enough confidence to keep up their energy and play with all their strength. When the coach sees a player struggling they switch the players out so they gain all their energy back and see what they can change to do better next time. With that the players are motivated to keep going in the game.
During intermission the girls took time to reflect on their flaws. With that time that they had they huddled up with the coach and their teammates to talk about new positions, so Godinez High School didn’t see them coming. This time the crowd seemed even louder than the first round, making Godinez High School girls feel intimidated while serving the ball. As the game went on the numbers on the scoreboard kept going up on both sides but unfortunately the final score was 19-25. The girls worked hard throughout the game but Buena Park JV Volleyball girls can take this as a learning experience to grow.
