Our Coyotes triumphed over Sunny Hills with a thrilling 24-21 victory on August 30th, 2024. We started off the game by winning the coin toss which gave us a head start in the game. Despite Sunny Hills taking an early lead into the game, our Coyotes were able to counter the Sunny Hills “Shark Attack”. Our senior Running Back Lynndyn Hodge gave us our first touchdown of the game. The crowd cheered louder than ever showing Buena Park High School spirit. The theme being “USA” showing patriotic pride during the game, they continued cheering our coyotes onto our next touchdown.Which number one Nicholas Zamora gave us. This game was going back and forth as we will get a touchdown but following that sunny hills will get us back. Our next touchdown came again through senior Lynndyn Hodge, with Nicholas Zamora giving us another 2 point conversion.
During our halftime we got to experience performances from our varsity cheer team, varsity song team and our dance company team giving the crowd more energy to keep on cheering the Coyotes towards their victory over the lancers.
To give us the victory senior Lynndyn Hodge was able to get another touchdown, and a 2 point conversion from number 2 Alex Blancas adding 8 points to our score giving us the victory 24-21. During the game we got a chance to interview some of our coyotes students, Joao Guerra one of our ASB leaders talking about the student section he said ”I feel like it’s very hyped, all the students want to pitch in and do their part as a BP home” showing our athletes and students and supporters were all their enjoying the victory of last Friday night.

Senior Lynndyn Hodge and number 2 Alex Blancas sealed the deal with a final touchdown and 2-point conversion, solidifying our triumph at 24-21. Interviews with students, including ASB leader Joao Guerra, exemplified the unparalleled enthusiasm and unwavering support demonstrated by our students and supporters, showcasing the true essence of Buena Park High School’s winning spirit.
