The Russo-Ukrainian War is an ongoing international conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which began in February 2014 Following Ukraine’s Revolution of Dignity, Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine and supported pro-Russian separatists fighting the Ukrainian military in the Donbas war. The first eight years of conflict also included naval incidents, cyber warfare, and heightened political tensions. In February 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine and began occupying more of the country.

- UNITED STATES: the United States has committed more than $44.1 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since 2014, including approximately $41.3 billion since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022.
- FRANCE: France was the largest arms exporter to Ukraine between 2014 and 2020 with over €1.6 billion worth of weapons provided] Among them were: helicopters, reconnaissance drones, navy-related weapons and equipment, targeting systems, ammunition of various calibers and fire control systems.
As for Russia, They started with lots of tanks and weapons, But as of lately they have only ⅖ of what they started with and now are deploying WW2 tanks including the T-44 and the T-54, they even had one of their MODERN advanced TANK(T-90) obliterated by an American made M2 Bradley, The American made M2 Bradley is an infantry armor fighter and the main armament is 25 mm M242 chain gun (900 rounds),2 × TOW anti-tank missile launchers (7 missiles)
Israel vs Hamas War
The Israel and Hamas war has been going on since October 7, 2023. However, their conflict has been going on since the mid-twentieth century. The reason the conflict started was because Zionists wanted to establish a homeland for the Jews in Ottoman-controlled Palestine. The Zionists had wanted to set up there because it was a corresponding land to Israel in Jewish tradition. The Balfour Declaration of 1917 (Issued by the British) supported the idea of having a homeland for the Jews in Palestine. After World War II and the Holocaust, it was needed to set up a homeland for the Jews in Palestine.
What happened for the war to start in 2023?
The war started because Hamas fighters fired rockets into Israel and stormed southern Israeli cities and towns across the border of the Gaza Strip. This attack killed more than 1,300 Israelis and injured 3,300. Hamas took over a hundred hostages from their attack. Hamas’s attack took Israel by surprise; they quickly launched a violent counterattack, however. A day after the attack Israel officially declared war on Hamas. Gazan health officials say the war has killed 10,000 Palestinians. The territory is extremely low on water, fuel, and resources because Israel limited the amount of aid allowed to enter the territory. While there have been discussions of a ceasefire the war is still ongoing as of February.
We may not think these wars affect us but they do, they make the news and we donate to the side we support. These wars are bigger than us and we need to pay attention to each side and how they act, we never know how they’ll act if we get in a war with them.
