This week we asked around Buena park highschool to find out which music genres are the most popular and what artists are most popular from those genres. From asking around we find out that rap and pop are the two biggest genres of music around the school. Rap was chosen because of the lyrics and the beats used to elevate the music. Pop was somewhat the same; it was stated that the use of the bears and lyrics make the music better. It was also noted that the genre is very diverse and that also makes it better. These were the two most popular genres and it makes sense pop and rap are amongst the biggest genres in the whole world so it shouldn’t come as a surprise. 

Some of the artists from the rap side included Drake and Lil Uzi Vert. This shouldn’t come as a surprise either as Drake is one of the most popular artists in the world so he should be the most known. Along with Uzi he is one of the biggest rappers to come out of that genre for some time now. For pop it was PinkPantheress and SZA. Both being relatively popular this too isn’t a surprise as both have taken a leap with their music for one PinkPantheress as seen extreme success on tiktok for her music and Sza has also seen major success from her new album and features.
