Holidays around the world were asked at Buena Park High School. The most popular holiday asked around the school was Christmas. Everybody we asked liked Christmas because it is the first holiday celebrated during winter break. As they get 2 weeks off of school and because of the chilly weather that Christmas is around. Another reason were the movies and the Christmas carols that come along with Christmas itself. Some of the movies included Polar Express, the Grinch, and Home alone. This adds to people liking the holiday even more than others.
Christmas was also the most popular holiday because of the family people get to spend with their families. Almost everyone interviewed used family as one of their main reasons why they enjoy this holiday so much. Along with this came the holiday of Christmas itself as everyone is given a gift. This is probably the biggest reason why Christmas was voted the most popular holiday around the school and it was thought it was the most popular holiday around the world. Christmas is a beloved holiday around the world that almost everyone that celebrates christmas enjoys and loves.
The most popular holidays that people thought were around the word of course included christmas, hanukkah, and chinese new year. Christmas being the most popular holiday between them all voted the most popular. But Hanukkah and Chinese New Year both had one vote each. They are both celebrated around the world mostly outside of America but both are popular holidays that have a good majority of people that celebrate them.
