The CIF football game on Friday, 11/13/23, was a very exciting game. There were many points made in such a short time. The theme of this game was Neon Out, and our school, Buena Park, went up against Arroyo Valley. Before the game started, we interviewed a few people.

We first interviewed #29, Andrew Salgado. He felt good about making it to CIF and thought it would be a good match. His plan for CIF is to “make it all the way.” We next interviewed player #40, Alex Blancas. He claims he was feeling pretty good and confident, and that it’d be a good match. He felt amazing about making it to CIF and hopes to win a ring.

Then, we interviewed #40, Alex Blancas. He told us he was feeling pretty good and confident. He felt excited about making it to CIF. “Arroyo’s pretty good but we’re better. We’re going to try and win a ring.”

The game started well, with a touchdown and field goal in the first quarter. The score was 7-0. Soon enough, Arroyo made a touchdown, but no field goal. Yet another touchdown and field goal was made by our school, before the first quarter ended, leaving the score at 14-6. As the second quarter started, we made two more touchdowns and field goals, the score was 28-6 at this point.

And finally, we ended the 3rd and 4th quarter with 3 touchdowns in both. The final score was 62 to 30. The Coyotes did an outstanding job at defense and offense. It was a great performance.

We interviewed Coach Prieto after the game. He felt amazing after the game. We asked him what the plan was for the next game. “Don’t know yet, but we won’t try to get ahead of ourselves. We’ll take it one week at a time.”

The game was an amazing experience to watch. It was action-packed with touchdowns and interceptions. Tons of people came to watch the game and they participated in the neon theme. We hope the Coyotes make it to the finals of CIF.
