The+Overall+Opinion+on+Mandatory+Athletic+Weightroom

We have conducted a series of interviews with various individuals to gather their opinions on the weightlifting program at Buena Park High School. During these interviews, we asked questions about how helpful the program is for their respective sports, how much they enjoy it, the quality of the trainers, and how it will benefit them in the long run. Our interviewees have included our Athletic Director Terry, a few sports coaches, and some of our fellow scholar-athletes.

Our first interview was with Senior Bianca Pineda who is a girls’ water polo player. She discussed the benefits of the

weight room, stating that it helps players become stronger and faster for their sport. However, she also mentioned that she would prefer the trainers to be more flexible in their approach, given that water sports have different needs and requirements than other sports.

Our second interviewee was baseball Coach Cody Gutierrez, who expressed his appreciation for the weightlifting program. He emphasized how it has contributed to his players’ overall performance and injury prevention. He also commended the trainers for their expertise and dedication to the athletes’ development.

Next, we spoke with our Athletic  Director, Terry. Terry reiterated the importance of the weightlifting program in injury prevention and athlete development. He stressed how it complements his work by helping athletes build the necessary strength and conditioning for their sports.

During our investigation, we interviewed football Coach David Prieto. Coach Prieto stressed the significance of the weight room and praised the trainers for their remarkable job. He stated that it is really beneficial for the off-season training and helps the players to perform better in college. However, he did mention one issue that they face is the overcrowding of the weight room.During our investigation, we interviewed football Coach Prieto who stressed the significance of the weight room and praised the trainers for their remarkable job. Based on our interviews, the weightlifting program at Buena Park High School has received mixed reviews. However, athletes and coaches alike have acknowledged its positive impact on their sports performance and overall well-being. The school’s weight room is an indispensable asset that is accessible during early morning hours and after school, offering students ample opportunities to achieve their fitness goals. We are committed to providing our athletes with top-notch facilities and equipment to support their success, which remains our highest priority.
